Brief
Creation of a motion design title sequence for the movie Django Unchained.

I have a deep admiration for the commitment this film holds. The iconographic universe is rich and full of references just like the screenplay, therefore that prompted me to want to create a motion design sequence title.
Having never looked into the Western universe, now is the opportunity to appropriate it and make it an original creation.
Symbols and elements
Chains slavery, « racial hierarchy », white / black ratio, whip, cage, iconography of western & spaghetti western, bounties, landscapes, travel, lust, brutality and revenge.
These are the notions that served as the starting point for my research.
